| Tifnit is a village of fishermen, old man of several centuries, the southwest of Morocco, in the region Sous-Massa-Drâa and the province of Chtouka-Aït Baha. Situated on the Atlantic Coast, in 30 km in the South of Agadir, Tifnit is halfway between the estuary of the Oued Souss and the estuary of the Oued Massed. The village has a beautiful wild beach sheltered in a handle 4 km long, rather small by comparison with the other beaches of the region surrounded with calcareous trays and with big very beautiful dunes. The currents can be there strong in certain seasons. Inhabitants of the village live in houses of pisé; in caves dug in the cliff or still in the shelters of painting or plastic. Not far is the national park of Souss-Massa, one of the last world sanctuaries of the bald ibis; Every year in August since 2005 If the festival of the Rhythms of the Peace (Rhythms of Peace festival) dedicated to all the forms of the music trance through a collaboration between masters of the music trance traditional Moroccan, artists of the contemporary electronic music and several groups of world music of diverse horizons unwinds there. It is also a place known well by campsites forklift truck operators who leave regrettably the garbage in a small discharge not far from the beach and one of the numerous surfing spots around Agadir. |
