The Moroccan and Berber cuisine in Tiznit is similar to that found in the rest of the South of Morocco.
You can enjoy traditional Moroccan dishes such as couscous (often prepared on the New Year's Day "Innayr"), vegetable and meat tajine, traditional baked bread (known as Inkane) and the specialty of Tagola.

The Imaruf (Berber word meaning "alms") is one of the local ceremonies of the region, which is generally financed by collective donations. L'Imaruf, a culinary event celebrated in the streets, where everyone eats a collective meal in a sacred place. This meal is prepared in the sacred places of the region by women volunteers.
