KASBAHS AND KSOURS : TRADITIONAL BERBER ARCHITECTURE

Why not enjoy a trip to Morocco, a long stay or a getaway, to discover traditional Berber architecture? Kasbahs have traditionally been castles of Berber lords, in the heart of the palm groves and ksour (plural of ""ksar""), fortified villages built with a local architectural tradition that combines aesthetics and technique. The thick ramparts of the kasbahs, in adobe, include square or oblique towers, while the interior is a succession of enclosures and courtyards.

The commune of Tata, in southern Morocco, is renowned for its ksour of Indfiane and Agadir Lehna, exceptional monuments that testify to a unique Berber heritage. Recent restoration works allow visitors to discover these unique Moroccan landscapes and monuments during a stay in the region, accompanied by a tourist guide specializing in the region.
